I just finished installing Snow Leopard, install went smoothly and it
takes only 5 gigs of disk space. I did a fresh install and didn’t
import any of my setting or Apps, so there is a lot of work to do now.

I recommend you use SuperDuper to make a bootable version of your
current system. There are always some growing pains and
incompatibility with a new OS. SuperDuper is free and can be
downloaded at http://bit.ly/superdup

I have included a bunch of screenshots below, and while I was doing it
I discovered a new feature. When you do a screenshot, it now names it
like this “Screen shot 2009-08-27 at 2.04.36 AM.png”

I’m going to go now and install all my favorite apps. I’ll update the
post with a list of apps and how they work with 10.6

If you haven’t ordered your copy, Amazon has dropped the price to $25
with free shipping. Here’s the link http://bit.ly/osx106

Installed Apps:

GarageBand is not only working but is way faster.

Fission is working, and is faster.

1password 2.0 isn’t supported in Snow Leopard  but if you are using 10.6 you get access to the 1password 3.0 beta.

There are seemingly a thousand Apple tablet rumors a day but this is the first interesting one in awhile. If the Apple tablet ends up being a big iPhone, I may buy it but I will be dissapointed. I’m hoping for full OS 10 with power to run apps like Photoshop. This article suggests it will actually be a big iPhone but with the ability to control your Mac. If this true, it will be an instant buy for me.
